Cataract & Refractive Surgeon

Dr Boccuzzi is an Anterior Segment surgeon, refractive and multifocal oriented, supporter of a glasses-free vision.

He carries out clinical and diagnostic activities in Naples at the Boccuzzi Ophthalmology Centre and in Milan at the Advalia Vision Clinic. The centres are equipped with the most modern technologies for the diagnosis and prevention of eye diseases.

Dr. Boccuzzi graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2002 with a thesis on myopic shift in patients undergoing surgery for congenital cataracts and artificial lens implantation. After graduating he obtained a specialisation in Ophthalmology in 2006 and a PhD in Molecular Imaging in 2008. In 2019 he obtained a Master’s degree in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Humanitas University, Bergamo, Italy.

He specialises in surgery of the anterior segment, Glaucoma and implantation of phakic lenses; Cataract surgery using Femtosecond Laser, and implantation of high-tech IOLs for the correction of astigmatism and Presbyopia (Toric Lenses and Multifocal Lenses).

In 2017 he attended the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland Ohio United States) with Dr. Robert Krueger to specialise in refractive surgery using the LASIK and PRK technique.

He is a member of the SOI (Italian Ophthalmological Society), of the AICCER (Italian Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons) and of the ESCRS (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeon).
