Tina Khanam
Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon
Tina Khanam is widely recognised and respected as an expert cataract, cornea and refractive surgeon. She brings decades of intense training at the highest level, together with wide experience and surgical ability, which results in the best possible outcomes.
Following completion of her residency at Moorfields in London, UK, she went on to do Fellowships at Imperial, Moorfields and Kings College Hospital.
She obtained fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2019. She served as Consultant at Moorfields and Hull University Hospital. She was appointed and served as the Training Program Director of Education and Joint Curriculum Lead for School of Ophthalmology in 2020.
Tina has set up and ran several educational and training courses dating back from 2012, including corneal surgery wet lab courses at the Royal College. She is an invited editor of Surgical Simulation and Cornea & Anterior Segment at the College Inspire Program.
She has been a Royal College Examiner and Surgical Simulation Trainer since 2019. She was invited to be the Clinical Lead for Women in Vision UK.
She has been invited and presented in more than 50 meetings, both national and international, published several peer reviewed journals, book chapters and UKOA national policies.
